Seat reservation query

If someone has a reservation on a Voyager, say in coach D, and the train is strengthened by doubling up with a second Voyager, are there then two coach Ds or is the second unit somehow given different letters to avoid confusion over which seat is reserved?

Additional letters are used in sequence - assuming the customer information system and all the displays are working properly, of course.

Thanks, so presumably the units' software detects the fact that two are coupled and automatically updates the displays in one of the units to G,H etc?

I’m not convinced it is fully automated but it is changeable to suitable letters.

Different letters, the TMS manages it. A C D F and G J K L if I remember correctly.

Is this the only time a coach I operates? It was always avoided to avoid the confusion of it being a 1. Same with there being no coach O to avoid confusion with 0, although a train long enough to get to O would be a fine thing!

I think the ATW loco-hauled WAG Express north-south Wales service has Coach I as the First Class area, but that may have changed.

I don't think XC reserve seats in the second set, so Coach I isn't really used on a reservation ticket AFAIK but again that may have changed.
