I don't know how long I'll be commuting for, it might be 3, 6, 9, 12 or more months. Which makes me wonder which season ticket to buy. Before I buy I wanted to check my maths is water tight!
Assuming I'd like to travel between Reading and London Z1-6, a yearly season ticket benefits in a gold card and would cost me £4976. Oppose to £1433.10 and £2886 for 3/6 months.
Would I be correct in the below refund calculations (roughly). Using a yearly ticket for 3 or 6 months would result in a refund of £3533 and £2080 respectively? Making the gold card cost £10?
Obviously I may wish to keep my gold card by changing my season ticket to something cheaper anyway.
Thanks
