Dear all,
I'm after a bit of season ticket advice. I'll shortly be moving to Winchester and commuting daily to Waterloo (work is a walk from there, so no zones required). Ordinarily I'd buy an annual Winchester - London Terminals at £4,696. However, looking at Botley - London Terminals, it seems for an additional £96 per annum, it would seem I would have a far greater number of valid routes, and so would probably be worth the extra cash.
Could anyone confirm my reading of the routeing guide that the valid routes for Botley - London Terminals include:
(a) via Winchester and the SWML
(b) via Winchester and Reading and the GWML
(c) via Havant and Guildford
(d) via Arundel and Horsham
And the ones I'm not sure about
(e) via Hove to Victoria
(f) via Brighton to Victoria
(g) via Brighton and Lewes to Victoria
?
They would seem to be allowed by the combination CW + LB.
Being such a large sum of money, I don't want to muck about, but would really value the ability to travel in that direction for leisure.
Separately, although I'm sure such a ticket is valid via Winchester to Waterloo, which is the journey I will be making most frequently, I don't really want to have my ticket rejected by the gates every morning, trying to board at Winchester. Can anyone give any advice as to whether this is likely to be the case?
