Hi, has anyone recently sat an assessment day for SE trains for the trainee driver role? I have one coming up and in the email it states that the MMI will be completed at another date. So just wondering wether I should really knuckle down and focus on everything else in the information pack and if I’m successful then prepare for the MMI?

Assuming it hasn't changed recently, the MMI is always the very last thing you'll do with SE. You'll do the psychometrics first, depot interview & medical next then MMI right at the end

Can I ask when you did the assessment? When I had mine for SE, I did all of the OPC stuff back to back, then the MMI in the afternoon, then I had the DMI shortly after.

Mine personally was a few years back, however we're recruiting heavily at the depot and all our applicants are being put through the order above. We've got another group coming through their depot interviews in the next week or so and all of them are doing the MMI as the final step and have only passed the psychometric testing bourdon tests etc. It might change depending on depot, recruitment officer in charge, position etc.

To be fair, the MMI is the easiest as its all based on the answers you wrote down 15 minutes prior to them asking you questions about whatever you wrote

Yeah, bizarre because when I sat it in 2019 it was in the order I said, so I wonder when and why they changed it
