Were the SDJR Clayton/Fowler 2-8-0 freight locomotives ever operated in Prussian Blue livery WITHOUT tender cabs ? I.E. in the days before WW1.

It would be a no as they never actually wore Prussian Blue in revenue earning service, the livery on No. 88 is fictional. She should be in plain black, hope that helps.

Each to their own, I would prefer her in BR black. But the finish on 88 is exceptionally good I cannot deny that.
