Does anyone know what’s happened to wee Sammy and SD Travel from West Lothian. I seen that the PSV licence had been cancelled in last weeks Notices from the Traffic Commissioners. Have they closed down?

Looking at the withdrawal I wonder if it is the dormant part of the company? It is PM2026395 which is being stopped but related operator licence PM0003030 (under which the bus routes run) has no notes against it.

From memory isn’t Samuel Douglas the Dad and when he died a number of years ago it all transferred over to SD Travel, ran by his son. (Seem to remember being told that by one of the drivers many years ago).

That was a special restricted license which would allow a taxi or private hire vehicle to operate a local service (West Lothian Council has a lot of taxibus work if you look into it).

The service buses and the coaches are all running fine.
