Scunthorpe - Cleethorpes Shuttle Reversing Movement at Scunthorpe

Went to Cleethorpes yesterday, came back on the 15:26 from Cleethorpes. When the train arrived into Scunthorpe we pulled into platform 2 for about 2 seconds then went a few yards further up the track to a crossover where we stopped and the driver switched ends and we then pulled into platform 1.

Thought I'd share the tempory procedure for arrivals into scunthorpe till July.

Been doing it now for over a month, do it so people have step free access from train to bus. Good idea, as at first the trains were terminating on platform 2, and then reversing by going empty, to Platform 1.

It also probably helps a little with what otherwise would be a too tight a turnround. What surprises me is that it wasn't adopted immediately as it is a practice which has been observed during previous times of disruption.
