Scum Class - Top Gear 'train'

After seeing Top Gear, (the one with a train made up of caravans) I seen they had a Scum Class coach at the back. If this was an option on all mainline trains who would you put in Scum Class? I would put all drunks and noisey, shoutey mobile phone people in it.

From that comment nice to know you think people without jobs would have to go in a 'Scum Class'

Many people want jobs but a lot of them due to were they live they are unable to get them due to lack of transport both due to no car or without public services.

Sorry to clarify I mean those who don't work out of choice, happy to sponge of the state, not legit job seekers. I know what its like. FGW cost me two jobs where I.was required to commute by rail due to their lack of reliable service.

That is fine. I just get a bit annoyed when some people think all jobless or people on benefits are all spongers overall.

Yes there are some who take advantage and sadly those are the ones who give a bad name to the rest of us.

Unfortante for you about that as well. I hopefully will be able to get a job after i get driving test passed, due to the public transport in my area is not reliable and due to a early ending bus service makes it more diffucult.

I suppose I don't work "out of choice". Having been made redundant from IT at the old age of 46, I left off "job seeking" when the local clerk suggested I might try retraining "in IT". I decided to be a "housewife" and be at home for my three children. Since they grew older, I have done a lot of voluntary stuff. So "Scum class" for me? Or is the world outside the workplace a tad more complex than some realise?

Like my previous post says, I meant it for those who intentionally sponge with no plans of working or ever have done previous.

It's a public train, not your private front room, so please don't treat it like it. I don't particularly want to hear who you're sleeping with, or be deafened by you shouting your conversation so the whole carriage can hear.

Thats probably a better and more rewarding job than any job most of us do. (Emergency services and medical staff a very honourable exception)

It was basically a caravan filled with straw and wooden benches, with an "outdoor toilet" (i.e. a toilet seat fitted over the rails) on the rear.

It also had, in big, red, scruffily hand-painted letters, the words "Scum Class" on the side.

In other words, it was much the same as the First Class option on FCC
