screw link couplings

i have recently got my class 66 back with screw link couplings fitted to it and i would like to know if i can couple up to coaches and other loco's with the screw link coupling without it breaking. if so it would be a great advantage as the nem couplings tend to protrude too much

It all depends on your curves, points, length/ weight of train, driving style etc etc etc.

Try it, if it works the answers yes, if not the answers no!
