I'm surprised at how many people the air service has to knock back who have bought the 902 tickets between the airport and Glasgow and vice versa.

Usually the drivers direct persons to the Air service.

Impressive how busy the AIR to Edinburgh airport is even early on a Saturday morning is.

Any rumours of new coaches for the 917 Inverness-Portree service? Just curious really as a regular user, the current coaches are starting to show their age.

This is an aside, but there was a big Megabus interdeck on the 917 last week! That surprised me when I saw it in the Square before it departed back to Inverness.

Got an answer to my own question after speaking to a driver today - Volvo 9700s, the same model as the Flixbus coaches, from September/October if the delivery date doesn't slip.

I see Citylink advertising has a new strap line "We'll always get you there guaranteed". I presume that this is their answer to recent press coverage of Flixbus leaving passengers stranded after service cancelled.

They ought to be careful using that line on its own as, after reading their Conditions of Carriage, they only guarantee to get you to the destination on the ticket if issues arise which are their (Citylink's) fault (which I think is entirely reasonable, but if they don't say or reference that on their advert then they could be opening themselves up to legal issues).

You can book up to 6 October. That is not the timetable change date which is at the end of the month, so they should be added soon.

nope, it’s just because citylink have Summer and Winter timetables! usually starting end of March (Summer) - 1st/2nd week in October, then it swaps back to Winter timetables.

you can book any date as long as it’s in the timetable bracket you’re currently in.

Megabus is only bookable from certain stops so in Edinburgh it would only be bookable from the Bus Station and the Airport. Where is it your trying to board and I will have a look

I've tried Haymarket and Corstorphine to Aberdeen on the Citylink site and neither worked.

Best thing to do is give them a phone to see if they can book you on or add a note to an existing booking from the bus station of your alternative pick up. Megabus is only available from bus station to bus station usually

There will be an additional switch in the drivers cab for the top deck ones and since the driver doesn't need to see out the top deck he won't bother pressing it!

I'm confused by your response. My comment "it feels pointless fitting upstairs windscreen wipers" was in response to "they will never get used because the driver won't bother/know/remember to turn them on", as in "there was no point in paying for them to be fitted if they're not going to be used".

I agree, passengers do still like to see out in the rain; it sounds then like you agree with my initial assumption/hope, that the upstairs wipers ought to be co-acting with the downstairs (drivers) wipers i.e. operate at the same time from the same switch.

It worked when I looked, shows as £41.70 for tomorrow (Friday 8 August) direct from Haymarket at 9:55 on the M92.
