The Stagecoach X54 and Citylink do not presently serve Dunfermline. Both serve Halbeath Park And Ride and will continue to do so after these changes.
Stirling will have a much improved service with the M8 operating hourly rather than two hourly and all 909s serving the Uni, there will also be a twice per day 978 Edinburgh - Oban.
The main changes that were announced internally last month are:
- M8: will operate hourly Dundee to Glasgow
- M9: will operate hourly 24/7, will now serve Castleview P&R in Stirling.
- M10/M90: Additional journeys, all journeys will serve Pitlochry with an hourly combined frequency Perth - Inverness
- M92: will operate hourly Aberdeen to Edinburgh. Coordinated with the M9 to provide a half hourly frequency Aberdeen - Dundee.
- 909: revised to operate 2-hourly Edinburgh - Stirling Uni with Glasgow leg withdrawn (replaced by enhanced M8), all journeys will serve Bo'ness and Stirling Uni.
- 978: new service operating Edinburgh to Oban complimenting the 909.
The main aim of the changes is to simplify the network and reduce reliance on connecting services at Broxden.
