Has anyone seen any across the network. Also guys I have a question. On the west coast I can book citylink tickets in a visit scotland office. Can I do the same in Aberdeen?

The last time I was in Stirling and Dundee Bus Stations (which was around 5 months ago), they had the 6 cities timetables, I'm not sure that is still the case as I've not been back since.
As for the ticket booking?

The Aberdeen office isn't open to the public, as far as I'm aware. The actual Tourist Information was closed down.

All tourist offices in Scotland were shut down, There is still an office of sorts in Edinburgh, its unclear who pays for that one.
Only appears to be a Citylink information leaflet now. No Citylink timetables, which is a shame for the summer.
Whats in the leaflet?
A basic map and details about explorer pass.

When I was at Edinburgh at 4am on 5th August, Ember charged me £14.25 to Inverness.
Citylink wanted £27.50. Which feels suspiciously like the fare before the fare cap in the Highlands was introduced. Fares are supposed to reflect this when journeys cross the fare cap boundary.

You have to book on Megabus to get the cheap single fares.

Of course they can. That is up to them and surely I am permitted to comment on that?
Though it seems odd they'd charge the customer more, rather than reducing it and charging to the government if it makes their fares more competitive.
For me it's the fact that Stagecoach make you check two websites for the same service.
Would everyone know that to book a Citylink branded service at the best fare, you shouldn't use the Citylink website? I am a regular user of buses and even I forgot about the megabus option.
And if you are booking (as I do) up to Wick and Thurso - to get the best fare I need to book on megabus for the Citylink service, then Citylink for the Stagecoach service - or a third website - the Stagecoach one!
And when I book this way, what happens if one bus is late - is the connection guaranteed? (I know Citylink/megabus tickets work on a standby basis for other services) - but there are only three buses to Caithness!

Why does the yutongs on Aberdeen route need a charge at Glasgow - surely they could do a round trip and charge only at Aberdeen?

A round trip is too far without charging. They were charged on the shorter route between Aberdeen and Edinburgh when with Hairy Haggis.
Last few times its been cheaper on the Citylink website.
They don't need charged and can do the journey both ways on a full charge

They only need to nip down to Caley depot for a top up there's no harm in putting extra juice in for piece of mind

Thanks for this. Looks like it has to be exchanged for a pass on the Citylink website by 31st August and then you have 12 months to use it. Start date is set when you make a reservation or scan the QR code on a bus.
