Had three of the above on my trip from Edinburgh to Falkirk Grahamston tonight.

They met up with two BTP Officers at FKG whose van was outside - they must have got lost on the way to Stirling or Edinburgh.

This is the first time I have ever seen the Travel Safe officers in their gaudy Pupley High Vis outfits.

What do they actually do ?

They are sort of ScotRail's own BTP but without any legal powers.

They won't detain individuals for instance. More they patrol the network and report any antisocial behaviour.

I believe they may also do school briefings/presentations on the dangers of the railway.

They've been hitting Falkirk & its environs quite hard recently. Still plenty of "non paying customers" travelling but at least folk are behaving themselves.
