Scotrail training wage structure

Hi I was wondering if anybody could help me out,am sorry for getting personal about money but I was wondering if anybody on here has done or is doing recent scotrail trainging (2 years)....I know the starting salary is £24:500 rising to about £43:500 over the two year period.
When you are on your first year training are you also asked to pay a pension of the training wage /union fees etc.
If so how much roughly are these of your first years training salary on a monthly basis

Pension starts straight away after you sign up. Union fees start as soon as you join and your branch process the paperwork to send to head office.

The amount of pension will be whatever % we pay I of your training wage. I can't remember off the top of my head what % we pay. On the full rate of 43212 it's roughly £230 a month that comes off.

You'll take home roughly 1300 a month during training - maybe a bit more. Free travel from the start helps massively.

The union fees are based on what bracket the training wage falls into. Full rate it's 25.56 a month - well worth it in my opinion, as we don't get the good wage we do without the union negotiating for us!
