With regards to the computerised tests, I just wondered if those who passed felt like their assessment went well or they felt like they had failed.

I've just sat mine and found it really tough, as it's designed to be I guess.

I clicked once incorrectly on the grey boxes, the rest of it I had decent reaction time.

The photo one - I've no idea, it went so fast, and I couldn't even remember what I saw tbh.

The sticks, I hit the lines maybe 10 times overall. I was trying to be quick, I didn't really go outside of the lines so to speak and was back inside quickly.

Has anyone had feedback on the individual parts as to why they failed.

I'll just have to wait and see!

Same!

The photos I was just guessing sometimes.

Got an email this morning saying I'd passed and to book MMI.

Hi am still new to this platform and getting used to it. Does anyone know or can direct me to what shift patterns are like if working for ScotRail Glasgow central? Am in the final steps to starting training and looking forward info or a nudge in correct direction

Hey guys I have my 2nd assignment tomorrow, documentation wise, I have my passport but for the National Insurance Number I only have it stored on my phone, no paper copy, would this be an issue?

They'll spend some time going over it in class in the first few days at the training academy but basically most depots at ScotRail work a rest day pattern that is like:

Week 1 - Mon Tues rest days, Wed Thu Fri Sat working
Week 2 - Mon Tue working, Wed Thu rest days, Fri Sat working
Week 3 - Mon Tues Wed Thu working, Fri Sat rest days

which means you get a long weekend off Friday to Tuesday (inclusive) every other week. You normally rotate between early and late shift weeks, with the occasional run of nights if your depot does them. Shifts can be up to 10 hours for most depots though some small rural depots can work longer. The maximum continuous driving time is 4 hours. During the time at the training academy you work a five day week with Sat and Sun off but once you are out with your instructor you work the same four day week as them. Sundays are committed overtime but you won't work them as a trainee.

I was nervous I’d failed one of them but found out same day that I passed them all. Did you sit your MMI the same day?

Hey mate I passed mine in July for Yoker and have been told enrolments won’t be until April 2926 at earliest. Have they said you’ll be sooner?
I’ve only heard from other people that it will be April 2026 so I’m not expecting to hear back until December possibly.

I just got the passed e mail too. How long did people wait for the e mail with a date for the MMI?

Unfortunately failed the 2nd assessment I sat last week Tuesday. Disappointing after having taken 18 months to get to this stage. Asked for feedback and passed the black dot test and the joystick, but failed on the photograph memory one. To be fair I found it pretty difficult but still a shame not to get across the line. Received an email that can reapply in 6 months time, so fingers crossed and will have a crack at doing some more practise if that helps. Anyone else failed that and passed it 2nd time? Also any updates from anyone that has failed at this point from recruitment team on how to re-engage at 2nd assessment stage? Am I right that if I fail again that's a lifetime fail?

No, unfortunately not.
When did you pass your MMI and then medical?
I'm still waiting for my medical date, but was told during the DMI that they were looking for December/January starts for the Dundee depot, hence the interviews at that time.

Thanks very much. Passed the MMI mid June and medical was end of June with the all clear early July.

Hopefully the dates will come out soon enough for you.

I sat my 2nd stage computerised assessments on Thurs 23rd October and got email yesterday saying I had passed.

They advised they will be in touch shortly to advise of next stage of process - this will be the MMI. Anyone any idea how quickly they will email me to offer up date for the MMI ? When they do offer dates are you typically able to choose a date or do they just tell you the date ?

Cheers

I believe was led to believe you get 3 shots. Between second and third is a 5 years wait though.
