Received my contract yesterday with a start date of 8th of September. Feels like such a relief knowing everything is in place

Hi, yeah im also the 11th.

Not had anything yet,still not had my drug test result so I still havent handed in my notice from my current job. I was originally based at Gourock then they sent me an email just before my interview to see if I could go to Yoker. Im thinking it must still be Yoker. What about yourself?

I don’t think they let you know you have passed your drugs test, have you been sent your contract and disclosure etc? If so I’d imagine you have passed your medical(drugs test included).

No I havent been sent anything at all. After my medical they said I had passed depending on drug test. I had my start date arranged before medical took place. I contacted them and said I need something in writing before I hand my notice in. Do you think I just need to wait on my contract being sent out?

Ive worked in my current job for 22 years so I would like to give them as much notice as possible but I do understand its not as easy as that.

When was your medical out of curiosity? The only time you would hear back is if it’s a fail. If your start date is the 11th of August I’d be starting to send emails etc, especially so close to your start date. How long is your notice period?

My workplace has agreed to except a week but due to length of service I would have liked to have let them know sooner.

My medical was 21st July.

I applied the 3rd of March 2024. That’s me had my assessment day email sent out. My base is Ayr, the wait has paid off. Onto the next step, good luck if you’re there also! The date I am considering is the 13th of August, just awaiting confirmation from my current job that I can get it off!

I was at the assessment centre on Monday, I heard back today to say that I had met the required standards for all test. They will get back to me for the next stage soon they said.

I got the email last week saying there had been technical issues on providing the link with 48 hours. I then got the follow up email saying the link was now live, with it closing on Tuesday 5th August.

I was on holiday. I checked the assessment dates yesterday on return and all was ok. I checked what would be most suitable today at work. However, when I tried to book this evening, it says no centres are available.

I emailed to check and am hoping - praying - that it's just another technical hitch. But I'm not sure.

I could accept if I failed a test at an assessment centre, or mucked up an interview. But I would be gutted to miss out like this, especially having waited so long between communications.

I was the afternoon, my pal got his back and he was the morning.

I wouldn’t worry, the recruitment manager who was taking the assessment centre said that there was plenty of assessment centre dates. I would keep emailing and tell them your circumstances. Head up.

I haven't heard anything yet I was in at 1pm on Monday don't think I done well in hindsight but hope I make the cut

Either they are working through the successful candidates slowly which doesn't really make sense or they will collectively email all the unsuccessful ones tomorrow. This may allow for you to recover over the weekend etc. Alternatively, it may be an average out score from everyone however I'm sure it's a clear pass mark for each paper?
