Best of luck, I also applied for Dumfries in March but still yet to hear anything after the SJT assessment at end of March.

Eyesight (with contact lenses, without, with glasses), colour-blindness, hearing, blood pressure, breathaliser, ECG, pee in a cup for drugs & alcohol test, BMI, consultation with doctor. Was about 2 hours all in. Very thorough.

I’ve just found out that I’ve made it to the next stage, but that they’ll be in touch in the future. Having read the previous couple of pages, I imagine emails are being sent to applicants at the moment and they’re just working through them.
Same just got mine after doing the tests back in march

Just recieved an email saying that the structure has changed and the second set of assessments have to be completed before any interviews just wondering if anyone knows the assessments for day 2?
I read early in this thread this information mate .
- joy stick and keeping a ball on a track?
- grey box, click when black dot/mark/area appears and this is for a 30 minute period
-a hazard perception test, similar to drivinf theory test

Is this the tests you done on the first day ?
Group bourdon test
-High tones and low tones, note how many you hear
-High tones and low tones, whilst using a mock phone book to find a given contact and record the high and low tones
-Dials and numbers and matching the numbers to the dials or similar
-Passage about something like a train engine or some random train function and then having to fill in the missing words.

Those are the tests I done the first time round someone told me it was a flashing picture and to note down what objects I seen for the hazard perception but not completely sure what to expect looking forward to it but now nervous as can be expected

Just come on here to check the progress of other people. I applied for March 24 vacancy (Scotland wide) had an email in May advising I had passed all the online stuff and that they will be in touch in the future (no date). Not heard anything since.
I am sure it’s the one when they show you a picture of a street for 1 second.
With 5 options of what you seen there can be multiple in same picture .
Cyclist / motorbike
Road signs
Traffic lights
Cars
Pedestrians .

Tomorrow morning so just trying to find out what I should focus on as I think the flashing pictures will be the most difficult compared to the coordination test.
You can practice that one on you tube.
I searched Train Driver Perception Test
There is a couple of them
& you will have the practice before your test .
You can do it mate

Don't be concerned if you haven't heard anything. They are extremely busy just now.
Stage 1 - 2 days for me
DMI - 2 weeks
Stage 2 / MMI - 5 loooooong nerve racking days.

I sat my DMI at perth station 9 weeks ago and havent heard a thing since. I was told at interview that i would hear back within 2 to 4 weeks.
I have tried contacting recruitment but no luck so far. Anyone else waited this long?

I sat the second assessment day yesterday and have found out this afternoon that I have been successful and would hear about next stage soon. The next stage for me is the DMI. Can anyone share some tips/information to help me prepare for this?
Also, anyone that has been to a depot and spoken with drivers/managers, did you arrange this prior to going or did you just turn up?

Were you there yesterday too Adam? Have you heard anything? I came out and felt so deflated thought I had done terrible! It was a very long day!

Yeah I was the nightshift the night before and after it was horrible the waiting about just been told recruitment will be in touch so who knows when we will hear anything just going to use this time to look into visits and questions we will get asked in the DMI.
What depot was it you applied to? I wonder if location will play a part in when we hear back now.

I visited two depot. One I just turned up at, and the other was pre arranged.

Hi all. Sat my first assessment day at atrium court on Monday. Anyone else in on Monday heard anything yet?
Yeah im getting annoyed now as they dont reply to any emails etc and there is no recruitment number to contact. I keep seeing people getting there result back and i havent heard a thing

What id like to know is how the £31,398 starting salary translates to take home pay (what deductions other than pension) , and for how many months?
Also, training, Glasgow based? For how long and what hours?

You remain on the trainee salary until you qualify and gain your Train Driver License. That could take between 12 - 18months. Once you finish all the training school elements of the course you follow your driving instructor shifts and it's then all down to how quickly you rack up the 263hrs minimum driving required to start the verification process to get the license.
