Got my standards email on the 24th of May not sure how it works to be honest as I waited 2 months for any response and I know others heard back within a week but haven't been given assessment dates

When you get your assessment 1 booked in, they send you an 84 page guide to the assessments and MMI. It tells you everything you need to know and practice.

Thanks! Worth the effort and anxiety! Yes was just one lady from the recruitment team who interviewed me for the MMI. It was less formal than the DMI, and I felt a lot more comfortable found that than the DMI. I tried sticking to the STAR method as much as possible (and was advised at the start that’s what they prefer) and found myself deviating from it. I was just trying to answer as honestly and naturally as possible, and in hindsight I thought that would go against me but I passed.
You've put in the hard work and hopefully soon get to reap the rewards! Good to see people making it after such a wait. I'm awaiting a date for the assessment centre although I passed stage 1 late last year with another toc before they put a hold on recruitment so I'm wondering if anyone else is in the same situation and if I will get a to perhaps sit this stage out this time?

How did it go and how did you find it?
Yeh found it alright, the trainers were so lovely made everyone feel so comfortable and gave us all a laugh! They make sure you fully understand it before starting, they explain everything nice and slow. I recommend to ask them any questions you have before starting the test so you do understand everything. You can take a break between each assessment too.

they send you an email with the tests you will do, I think they send them to everyone in the group at the same time to ensure everyone gets to same amount of practice time before the assessment

What assessments did you have to do for the first lot?

Thanks, yeah it was hard work but shouldn’t be long now. Got medical arranged for next week but still waiting for a start date.
At first assessment we were told the result is valid for 5 years, so would imagine if you passed with another TOC the result should still stand. Best of luck and hopefully you get an invite.
Basically if you pass the sift, it’s yours to lose. If you put in the work and research then it’s perfectly achievable.

Still waiting to hear back if I’ve passed or not, the people at the assessment centre explain everything and put you at ease, they do practice examples with you and make sure you really understand before starting.

Just received the "'met the required standard" email. Hopefully not too long until the next stage.

Applied initially in Jan 2023 which was under consideration for a long time and disappeared off the profile and reapplied on the recent drive. took the SJT at the end of March.

Hi folks,

New to the forum, probably like a few on here. I applied for the March 2024 intake, passed the application sift and online OPC tests, email on 24th April confirming this.

I have spoken to someone i know who has recently been through the process, can anyone who has passed recently confirm if the assessmemt centre test are as follows or if any have changed?

-Group bourdon test
-High tones and low tones, note how many you hear
-High tones and low tones, whilst using a mock phone book to find a given contact and record the high and low tones
-Dials and numbers and matching the numbers to the dials or similar
-Passage about something like a train engine or some random traim function and then having to fill in the missing words.

If successful a competency based interview on a different day and if successful at this stage, a further assessment day with 3 tests

- joy stick and keeping a ball on a track?
- grey box, click when black dot/mark/area appears and this is for a 30 minute period
-a hazard perception test, similar to drivinf theory test

Any tips would be appreciated and grateful, likewise if i can get anything else from my contact i will share.

Well done to those who havd already passed or are going through the process, and best of luck!

I attended the assessment center on Tuesday this week. We were told that we'd receive the results via email by Thursday. I haven't had an email. Has anyone received an email after attending the first assessment center? Thank you

I recieved the standards email on the 28th of April.

Still heard nothing regarding the next steps.

I guess I'll need to settle in for the long haul.
