Don't want to put you off but the last 2 drivers who relocated to Mallaig found they couldn't live there and moved away again. It is a huge lifestyle change.

Hi mate Iam starting on 12/11 Iam from Manchester and will relocate to Perth but the first few weeks I will be attending in Glasgow so I will be travelling by Train everyday from Perth to Glasgow .. where are you from ?

I live just outside Glasgow city centre, one stop for me on the train in from bishopbriggs then a short walk from Queen Street down to the training centre.

honestly 3 months later after applying for Edinburgh and still under consideration

Sorry to hear that you didn't get the Glasgow gig.
Is 3.5 months the standard response date, or does it depend on the depot?
I was just about to ask the question but then noticed your post. Im in the same boat mate, applied back in June for the Perth/Dundee Trainee Driver role. All I get is that applications are still being screened - its not like we're in a talent pool, just waiting to find out the result of the first hurdle ..

Hi all, first post in forum .
Applied for Glasgow Area on 1st July and had heard nothing since.
Received email at lunchtime today inviting me to assessment centre next Thursday, so there is still hope for those who have applied for the same positions and are still waiting to hear back.
Excited to get along next week, but kinda nervous too been a fair while since I've undergone any such application process. Weekend getting stuck into the training materials on the cards.
Good luck if you get invited over the next few days, might see you there !!.
