I tried to PM you Andersoninan but couldn't find the option, rather not mention it publicy here.

Not familiar with Yoker area, is it easy enough to get parked around it during the week?

You need several posts (5 i think) under your belt before you can PM.

If you're meaning Yoker depot, it has a decent sized car park.

Looks they've still got more candidates to contact, sent them an email this morning and got this reply,

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for you enquiry.

We have had an extraordinary level of interest in this role and due to the volume of applications we will only be contacting successful candidates. These candidates will be notified within the next week. As the train driver recruitment campaign is ongoing, we will be hoping to progress more candidates at a later stage.

Thank you for your patience and best of luck!

Kind Regards,

Recruitment Team

For all those who had an interview this week how did you find it? I believe in my assessment they mentioned a panel rather than 1 to 1?

It's pretty relaxed/informal, so don't worry too much but equally remember you are they because you want the job, be professional.

Oh cool so did you find out if you were successful soon after? What comes after that? Can anyone tell me the full process?

How long did the interview last PinOnTheRight? So was it not like a typically structured interview?

If you pass DM interview then you have the 2nd part of the assessments and a medical i think

How strict is the medical? I presume this 2nd assessment is tough. I thought they would have had another interview to whittle down the 22k applicants.

The interview is around 45 minutes, they said they'll be in touch within a few weeks as interviews are on-going.

Next stage will be psychometric testing and another interview (I believe it's an MMI) then the medical.

1st stage of assessments done yesterday. Received email about 2hrs after to say I'd passed. Call today to confirm date for interview with DTMs on 1st Dec. I think the DTMs are gonna be sick of the calls from applicants wanting some info on their locations. :?

Well done mw1967 on getting through to the next stage. Did you ring the assessment centre to find out your interview date or did they ring you. I'm still waiting to hear back with my DTM interview date.

Yes they are! You would be far better actually visiting the depot and having a look around yoursrlf and speaking to people. It happens all the time and is looked upon highly favourably!!

Good advice. Had planned to do just that. Is it worthwile checking out which types of sets run through and routes for locations or do you think that's going over the top?

During my call from recruitment I was advised/encouraged to visit the locations I've applied for. Seems logical that you'll be asked some sort of questions about them. As i said previously I'm wondering how much detail to look into. Sets/routes/staff numbers/SOW hours....you could go bananas on the specifics :eek:

Mw1967 my assessment day was the 29th October and received an email the following day to say I passed and they would be in touch shortly with an interview date. Nothing so far. I emailed the recruitment assessment team today to see if there was any progress. Hopefully hear something soon. Good luck for yours when it comes.

Are you internal or external Andersonian? Only wondering if they process differently depending on this. I'm internal and got the call quickly after assessment. If you have a phone number it may be quicker calling for info than waiting for email reply.

I know of a few externals that have been interviewed this week and some that are planned for a couple of weeks time. They're people who just passed stage 1 assessments and those that have already passed all the assessments and MMI with other TOCs or on previous attempts with Scotrail. All the best to all the hopeful candidates.

I think emails are going out next week regarding interviews as times need to be finalised but are almost sorted from what I hear. Phone calls were being made to people to give them prior warning yesterday. Make sure to check spam/junk folders as the email could go there and nobody wants to miss that email!!!

Well done to everyone who is making progress through the process.

Sorry to ask this again, but would you mind indicating which thousand or hundred band your application number was? Or even which date you submitted it?

I submitted my application on 28th September and I'm trying to work out have I been sifted and dropped or have they not got to me yet!

I could be wrong but I think they're working through it in terms of depot applied for rather than chronological order.

Cheers Paepo. Ive made sure previously to put the email addresses in my contact list to ensure they haven't been going into my junk folder. I'm sure I'll hear soon, cant think of a reason why I wouldn't. Hopefully they are making calls today also.

For anyone that's interested my timeline of my application so far is

15th October - got told I had made it to first stage assessments
26th October - attended the first stage assessments. Got told I had passed on the same day
3rd November - got asked to attend DM interview
12th November - attended DM interview

Process has been relatively quick. Hope this helps some people.
