I've got mine on the 12th too in Aberdeen, interested to know what questions the others that have already been got asked, seems to be mixed, some say it's all TOC related questioning, some say it's Safety related and others say it's a set of 6 structured questions, heard some say it's around 2 hours long and some saying they were in and out in about 45 mins

I suppose it depends whether you are doing the manager interview or the MMI interview which I think is the 6 situational questions. I believe the manager interview should be no longer than 45 mins
Had my interview this morning and was told they are interviewing all month so it will be early April at least before I find out how I did. Good luck.
Hi Paul, I had my interview on Tuesday too. I managed to get a lot of the info in that they didn't ask about. They said I'd hopefully hear by next week. Good luck!
Hi all, I applied for the trainee train drivers job on the 24th of feb, also completed both test but i have not heard anything back at all and the closing date was the 6th of march. It was for the trainee drivers in Inverness. has anyone that has applied heard anything back successful or not?

Like you I also applied for Inverness. I had also had no correspondence back so decided to log in to my application today.
I received an email on 19/3/2015 regarding my application, however it had gone into my email trash and not my inbox.
Basically said my application passed the initial on-line short listing process, however, as they received a very high volume of applications which met the minimum criteria, were unable to progress everyone who successfully passed the initial process to the next stage, which is assessment.
However depending on the outcome, they may be in a position to progress a further pool of candidates, however they are unable to confirm this at this stage. If circumstances change they will contact me directly by email.
Not quite sure how to interpret this. Is it basically rejection? Did I not score highly enough in the online tests which I passed? What is the likelihood I may hear back in the near future, even from Abellio?
Any advice from the good people on here much appreciated in advance.

It means you met the criteria, but others met it more. Ie someone might have had 3 good passes, maybe you had 2 good and a borderline. But if any of these people don't progress, and there will be some, you may get called up. Don't give up.

Hey guys, I spoke to them last week and they said hopefully they would get back to us this week.
Hey guys, just called the HR department and they said they're still waiting on the paperwork from the managers. Apparently they chased them up yesterday about it. She also said they should be letting people know by the start of next week.

I heard back about my manager interview last week. Unfortunately didn't hit the standard but hopefully I'll do better should the opportunity arise again really want to thank you all for your help on here

Wee update guys, not been on this since last year, after going through all the assessments and stuff last June and being put on hold I got an email from Sandra asking me to call her asap, when I got in contact with her I got a conditional job offer - conditions being that I pass my medical(Friday 1st May) and that my disclosure comes back clear(which it will as I've no convictions or anything), so its basically a guaranteed job as I had a medical with another company(not rail related) and passed with flying colours. Very excited to get my start date through...just stick at it and it will happen, this is coming from a 23 year old with no previous experience in the rail industry so if I can do it you can too!! Good luck people

Well done senshi. I got a conditional offer and had medical on Thursday. Been passed fit and my disclosure has came back. Just waiting on the results from the drug screening. Hopefully hear back tomorrow with a concrete offer.
