Had an email tonight saying that I have passed and that I have my DMI on Tuesday! Thankfully we had a heads up that the interviews would be then so I have already started my preparation.

Gone around 8 months of hearing nothing to a sudden rush of emails and pprogress.

Well done, I was there with you on the 10th. Also got an email saying I passed, with an interview on Tuesday.

Hello everyone, first time posting.

I originally applied last year around April/May, passed everything so far and was successful in the face to face interview back in September with scotrail saying that they will be in touch shortly to let me know the next stage with my application.

I have emailed them a few times asking how they are getting on with progressing me to the last stage of the recruitment process. Still awaiting there response.

I guess it's just a waiting game at the moment right guys?

Had my 2nd set of tests yesterday which I passed, just waiting to hear the results from the MMI. Was a strange day as there was only two of us there the other person being my wife who is also going through the process. Waiting game again now to find out if we move on to medical

I’m in at 1100. I was wearing the navy suit and purple tie. What time are you in? And which one were you?

Im in at 09:00. I was in a black and navy suit, brown shoes. Don't think we spoke then.

Is anyone who has passed the medical stage based in Edinburgh. Did my medical on 18/2. Seen some people saying they have an induction the end of may I’m hoping I’m on that one too!

I am and haven’t heard back yet. Also spoke to my mate who is currently a trainee driver at waverly and is unaware of any new starts anytime soon

Same here, Waverley based passed medical but still waiting like above.
Surly we hear soon, would like to imagine we’re on the same induction

I'm Glasgow/Lanarkshire and still waiting. The last correspondence i had was May 24 saying I had met the required standard then just before new year saying basically they haven't forgot about us. Anyone any email address to see if I can get some information on what's happening.

No prep apart from having something in your bladder for them lol.

Height and weight, eye test inc. colour blindness, hearing booth, ECG, balance test (arms out & walk straight, bend at the knees etc, touch your toes-don’t worry, I couldn’t get all the way either lol), smoking drinking habit and general health questions, pee in a small jar and breath test (alcohol). Think that’s it from memory.

The actual medical? I think mine was about an hour and half. Although it wasn’t rushed as he only had one other a couple of hours later, very relaxed and we chatted about nothing in particular at times. If they’re on top of it and got a few on, they could maybe do it all in an hour?

It seems alot of people are frustrated about the length of time in the application process. I applied in December 2022!!

Felt like it went well, questions were better than I was expecting too. Always waiting for that email
