Hi guys! For those of you who already attended the DM interview, how long did they say they will get back to you?
Thx!

I think I did enough for research just stumped me on one question, sorry senshi no offense but I'd rather not say, I need all the help I can get, best of luck though

Senshi they will ask you questions like

1. Who is the MD?
2. what are Scotrails vision and values?
3. how many do they employ?
4. How many drivers do they employ?
5. What upgrades are on the network? Cumbernauld line, E-G line.
6. They might ask you about the franchise and when it expires and when the winners are announced?

Find out what routes your depot covers, the tractions, the booking on times and off times, e.g earliest start, recent incidents at depot, latest SPAD, TPWS etc.

7.. They will ask you how would you react to a suicide?
8. They will ask you how you would keep your concentration levels high during long shifts? They are looking for things like risk triggered commentary driving.
9. They will ask you if you would find it difficult being in a cab working alone all day?

If I can think of anymore ill post tonight. Good luck people and get all the help you need by VISITING THE DEPOTS!!! You will be surprised how much this goes in your favour and how much of heads up it can be.

Great. Remember and let whoever interviews you know that you have visited the depots. Slip it in somewhere if they don't ask. They will probably ask what studying have you done or have you visited any depots and whoever you do see at the depots get their names so you can drop it in. If you cant get a dtm im sue the drivers would help you if they can as well. For an external candidate, if that's what you are, this will give you an advantage for the role.

Cool mate, yes I'm external, got the name of the dtm I spoke to at glc, and he provided me with tons of information that should hopefully prove to be useful, got a good feeling, just need to hope all the studying I've done pays off!

Can anyone confirm what the starting salary for the trainee drivers role is and the increment rises as you progress through training?

Hiall - no offence mate but you shouldn't really be putting all that detail onto a public forum. Candidates should be fully capable of sourcing their own information regarding the interview particularly at this stage of the process, don't think they need spoon fed.

Had my DM interview this morning, I believe it went well, and it was as I expected. Good to meet you Senshi, and I hope you had a good interview as well, and good luck to Rossgray93.

How did you guys find the interview? Mines was a few weeks ago at Waverley and I thought it was pretty relaxed but some of the other guys I spoke to said theirs was really intense!

Found the interview fairly relaxed, I talked openly to the two interviewers, I did allot of research into First and Scotrail, but didn't need all of it. Just need to be patient now and await the outcome.

How long until you find out mate? I was a few weeks before I got any word through, I sat my dm interview before I sat the computer tests and had the mmi though so I've done it in a different order to most of you guys I think.

If anyone who sat their DM Interview before Wednesday gets an email can you let us know? This checking my emails every hour is driving me insane

I know itl be highly unlikey that I will hear back today, I'm presuming itl take a week or 2 but just because the rest of the process has been so quick, eg getting told 3 day reply for after assessment centres and hearing back next day.
