Apologies if this is obvious or been discussed before.

I want to travel from Falkirk to Aberdeen - North on a Saturday and back on a Sunday.

Because my dates are far enough away, Scotrail will sell me a £59 Off Peak return. However it's likely that there will be no sensible route back if the strike is still on.

So what's my refund?

All of it due to a very long Delay
Half of it as an unused return
About £18 - the difference between a Single and a Return

Thanks in advance

Depending on your travel times it may be possible to travel on LNER/XC services (via Edinburgh) but a coach will be quicker.

If you choose not to use the ticket, I think you should get 50% of the full value of the Off Peak Return as a refund for the unused return portion.

Thanks to all. I'm still not sure what Scotrail are playing at. They are both telling me trains are scheduled and also that they are not.
