What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
I've not found any other threads relating to this particular topic, so apologies if it has been covered elsewhere.

A thought that came into my mind in regards to the transfer of some 156s are will the RETB fitted ones still remain in Scotland for the Oban/Mallaig services, or will the RETB equipment be removed and fitted into some of the Class 158s?

Furthermore, does 156478 still have its RETB equipment, or has that been removed while undergoing refurbishment from flood damage?

They've just had the next gen RETB gear fitted (156s) if the 158s go up then they'd get this too.

156478 doesn't have anything in it at the moment, as it's been stripped down for refurb, but would assume it'll be refitted.

I know the situation is fluid, but the units I have noted as being RETB fitted are currently:
156445/447/450/453/456/457/465/474/476/485/492/493/496/499/500.
I didn't have 478 noted as being RETB fitted prior to its accident, but there is evidence of it having worked the WHL in summer 2014.

As for the 158s, I always understood that IS-based 158701-725 were the only ones RETB fitted, but there is Flickr evidence of 158727/729/730/733/738/739 on the Far North & Kyle lines. I'm not sure if these units are still fitted however - anyone able to clarify?

Coincidentally (or not!), there are 15 156s on my list above, which is exactly the same number of Haymarket 158s (726-736/738-741) which are expected to be refurbished and RETB fitted.

Also, there's portable RETB kits that can be plugged in as required
