Scotrail reserve list

Hi guys/girls
Has anybody ever been on the scotrail reserve list and never been offered a position of a trainee train driver or is it if your on the reserve list a position will become available?
Just not too sure on how the reserve list works.

We have had a number of issues with members trying to set up duplicate accounts in this forum.
