Scotrail readvertised the jobs that have just closed. Is this normal?

After the closing date 27/08/22, they have readvertised the same jobs with a new closing date. Does that mean they are looking for more people for these jobs. Most were customer facing roles but some were for Atrium Court and engineering. Just thought it was strange that they advertised the jobs almost immediately.

Depends what the gap was the first closing and the second one opening. It might be they didn’t have enough applicants and it’s essentially just been extended.

Closing date was 27/08 (must have closed midnight 26/08) and the new ones were up that day for closing 01/10.

Sounds like a simple extension to me.

Might have just been they were previously given an incorrect closing date, although an extension of a month is quite a lot. I'd recommend anyone in such a position contact recruitment.
