Hi all

I (stupidly) left my coat on the 8am Stewarton to Glasgow Central train this morning and was wondering if anyone had any tips of how to get it back? I have left my name and number and a description of the coat with lost property at Queen Street, Glasgow Central (apparently different companies), as well as Carlisle and Newcastle just in case that train ended up in England. Are there any other places that lost property found on a Scotrail train might end up at, or does it all get forwarded to Queen Street like the national rail enquiries website says? What about overnight cleaning etc depots - do they keep hold of lost property, and if so does anyone know a way I could contact them? It is just a simple mens beige coat with a pair of gloves in the pocket so not really worth anything financially, I'd just had it a long time and was rather sentimentally attached to it...

Thanks a lot - any tips or advice very much appreciated,

Matt

Also try Edinburgh LPO on 01315502333 as the set may have theoretically passed through the Waverley after Central.

It really depends on where your property was was handed in as to where it will end up.

Be patient. Be persistent.

Good luck

Thanks - staff at Waverley LPO were very helpful but haven't seen my coat either :( Not giving up hope yet, will keep ringing the numbers I have for Queen Street, Central, Waverley, Carlisle and Newcastle (a long shot) in the hope it was handed in at a smaller station and is taking a while to get transferred.

Does anybody know what would happen if something was found on a train in a depot (like Shields Road) - is everything sent to Queen Street/Central or is there another number I could try? Are trains generally cleaned at stations or sent to depots to be cleaned at the end of the day?

Thanks again for the advice,

Matt
