hi i start my new role on monday and i was wondering if you have to do any lie in time ? say 2 to 4 weeks? i dont mind if this is the case i just thought it wouldnt be nice to immediately ask about money on my first day?
At one point it was no wages for 8 weeks, then your first wage, covering the second month - for all FG Rail staff. The first month used to be held in arrears.
Some people were citing excessive hardship so this was changed for new starters I believe.
That said, I've never been a new starter under FirstGroup. Like I'd choose to go there

Your cut off for your wage is the Saturday before you get paid. It's every 4 weeks and next pay day is 17th jan.
So if u start on Monday you should get 4 weeks pay on 14th February. X
If you start Monday, your first wage will be on the February pay date (14th I think)
If you signed up for the credit union, you can arrange a hardship loan from them to see you through the month, if not, it's beans on toast for the foreseeable!
