At one point it was no wages for 8 weeks, then your first wage, covering the second month - for all FG Rail staff. The first month used to be held in arrears.

Some people were citing excessive hardship so this was changed for new starters I believe.

That said, I've never been a new starter under FirstGroup. Like I'd choose to go there ;)

It means you dont get paid for the first few weeks, if they had to pay you off or sack you? You would receive those wages then

Your cut off for your wage is the Saturday before you get paid. It's every 4 weeks and next pay day is 17th jan.
So if u start on Monday you should get 4 weeks pay on 14th February. X

If you start Monday, your first wage will be on the February pay date (14th I think)
If you signed up for the credit union, you can arrange a hardship loan from them to see you through the month, if not, it's beans on toast for the foreseeable!
