Not quite the place maybe, but I saw 43021 in Inter7City livery this afternoon, overtook it around 3pm on the M1 around Junction 30 ...

Do we have a thread for sightings of loco's on the back of Lorry?

No problem. There have been a number of changes in pairings recently and we even had the return to service, yesterday of 43175 (paired with '143 on set HA19), after eight months out of traffic!

Can anyone advise the current state of 43124, 43128 & 43177?

I know 177 was active until fairly recently and 124 was working in November. 128 is mentioned as returning to service in a recent magazine article after being out of service for 4 years but anyone give more info as to when likely to be working?

43124 - last out 16/11/22 with 43015 and set HA03

43177 - last out 13/01/23 with 43147 and set HA06

43128 - still Out of Service at Haymarket Depot. No further info I can find.

Not sure if there is any reason for 124 and 177's recent lack of activity but will keep monitoring in the hope they are out. Thanks

There's an update in the current Rail Express: there's a steering group set up to look at safety issues post Carmont involving ScotRail, Angel and the unions with talks reported as constructive.

There is a steering group in progress aiming to overcome concerns. Good progress being made I've heard

Now that both 185 & 030 have been disposed of, and a small stream of spares seems to be coming from Ely, 128 very much so is on the comeback. It's been pictured looking a lot more complete than it has been over the last few weeks!

While I very much welcome any news that 128 is to return to traffic, it does contrast sharply with the most recent information I received regarding its future. (Admittedly that was late last year and things do change of course.)
