is there a list of scotrail hst diagrams anywhere? I had a look on the 125 website but the latest version they have is december 2020?

There have been a few minor alterations to the diagrams, these are now in effect.

5K14 the ECS off the 1356 ABD-EDB is now Fridays Excepted



There are two diagram alterations on Saturdays:

I think it was closed because the general consensus is there is no need for a chat about an ordinary service that’s been around for a few years now. I’m sure you’ll find a new one is created when the inevitable withdrawal starts in a couple of years

Real Time Trains is showing 170402 allocated to 06:55 GLQ INV., 170471 allocated to 08:35 EDB INV and 170452 allocated to 12:09 GLQ INV today. Ultimately yes, it's rare for absoluteky all booked workings to be HST worked though usually 13 or 14 manage to be HSTs Mon-Sat and about 8-9 on Sundays. Though last Sunday was interesting - an HST subbed for a 170 instead of the reverse!

For instance last week:

Mon - 13 of 16 out, one failed before entering service, one failed during service.
Tues - 16 of 16
Wed - 13 of 16
Thur - 14 of 16
Fri - 16 of 16 out but 2 declares failures part way through diagram
Sat - 12 of 16 out, one failed before taking up duty
Sun - 9 of 11 diagrams HSTs, plus one ad-hoc set replacing a DMU diagram

The increase in diagrams being permitted by the return of HA02 and HA08 from Doncaster. That was the information I was given, my apologies of that's now incorrect but I haven't been informed of that.

Fingers crossed that 1A61 2140 GLQ-ABD does become a 170, as in reality doing single door with a five car HST on a Saturday night at four stops is not fun at all!
