is there a list of scotrail hst diagrams anywhere? I had a look on the 125 website but the latest version they have is december 2020?
Thanks
Thanks
I'll put up the current ones first then I'll hunt out the new ones and tidy up the formatting a bit. Both - or either!
Additionally HA24 was supposed to do 1A49/1B28 as well, but it failed after arriving into Edinburgh as 5A49.Yesterday's HST workings:
HA24 (43179 + 43148) - 1H19
* diagram alteration
HA05, 06, 10 and 11 are five-car sets
Here are todays workings:Today however 16 sets are out as diagrammed!
Cheers, I couldn't see what happened after 1H19Additionally HA24 was supposed to do 1A49/1B28 as well, but it failed after arriving into Edinburgh as 5A49.
I think it was closed because the general consensus is there is no need for a chat about an ordinary service that’s been around for a few years now. I’m sure you’ll find a new one is created when the inevitable withdrawal starts in a couple of yearsAs the main Scotrail HST thread is now closed for some reason, not sure if this is the place for general chat.
Anyway, disappointed to find my HST diagrammed Edinburgh-Inverness train this afternoon substituted by a pair of 158s with one carriage locked out of use. Apologies being made that there is no first class available.
Ultimately yes, it's rare for absoluteky all booked workings to be HST worked though usually 13 or 14 manage to be HSTs Mon-Sat and about 8-9 on Sundays. Though last Sunday was interesting - an HST subbed for a 170 instead of the reverse! Are ScotRail having trouble with availability of these sets? Real Time Trains is showing 170402 allocated to 06:55 GLQ INV., 170471 allocated to 08:35 EDB INV and 170452 allocated to 12:09 GLQ INV today. That's three 170s out in place of HSTs (assuming I'm reading the diagrams above correctly) and that's just looking at services from Edinburgh/Glasgow to Inverness.
I'm trying to plan a trip to Aviemore for late April and would like to use the ScotRail HSTs (plus Newcastle to Edinburgh on Lumo) if possible.
For one thing, the number of sets available for traffic presently is 21 not 25 (HA02, 07, 08 and 12 are not available) so availability should be judged with that in mind. It's very interesting to see the extent to which the currently planned HST service is being fulfilled.
However, thinking of availability in terms of the number of sets in use, here it's mostly in the range of 50-65%.
This is obviously making an assessment on a small sample, but I would have hoped for something a little higher. This could be taken as justification by the naysayers, and perhaps it could be?

Secondly, HST diagrams are planned to increase in May. This will utilise 23 sets as HA02 and HA08 will be back from Doncaster by then. So 18 diagrams out of 23 sets Mon-Sat and 12 on Sundays.
18 plus 11 Sundays from May against 16 and 10 presently.Only 15 HST diagrams per day though in service from May.
It's 15 M-F from May. If you have access to the Timetable Briefing Document I suggest you read version 2. Dated 29.03.22.18 plus 11 Sundays from May against 16 and 10 presently.
I’ve not seen the document but I’ve been told by a manager that we’re definitely going down to 15 in May.It's 15 M-F from May. If you have access to the Timetable Briefing Document I suggest you read version 2. Dated 29.03.22.
