my boyfriend has to go for an assessment centre and do the following tests: safety concentration and attention test. does anyone have any odea what they consist of? apparently its two tests and if he passes those hes to get an interview.

The SCAAT test was just one test, I've applied for the Gateline role last month and sat the test and had my interview, just waiting to hear now.

He will have been sent practice sheets explaining what the test is looking for.

On the day it will be a Group Bourdon Test which is a page of grouped dots and he has to score out the groups with four dots.

There's a program he can download to practice and I strongly advise getting in as much practise as possible. The test on the day is on paper so using the program, he can print out practice sheets to prepare for the day.

Its glasgow queen street hes applied for. Hes sitting doing the dots test now. Is that the only test thats done on the day? What is the interview like?

I applied for Gateline at Edinburgh Waverley so I assume the test is the same. I was originally told that they would be interviewing those successful after the tests so it would be an all day thing but in the end they had the interviews a few days later.

Interview was ok, I've had an interview with Scotrail before so kind of knew what to expect.

What is asked at the interview? I work for tpe as a guard so he knows to do research on the company, i know they ask a lot of tell me a time when questions. Anything else he should prepare for?

They will talk about dealing with drunks at the gateline to stop them from getting on the train. The rest was very much 'tell us about...'
