Scotrail - gateline service shifts

Hi,

I am new to the forum and was wondering if someone could advise on what the shift patterns are for gateline customer services.

My husband starts with Scotrail but we haven't been given details such as shift patterns or pay date. If anyone could provide this, it would be a great help, along with he do holidays work.. I have been told that the staff are told when to take holidays, is this the case?

Last pay day was the 30th of August. Next pay day will be the 27th of September and then every 4 weeks after that.

From what I have gathered the shifts are generally 8 hours long starting at about 5.30am-6am but it also depends on which station he will be working out of.

And yes you will be given dates at which you are to take your holidays, however he will most likely find that he can swap dates. This way of delegating holiday dates is to prevent to many people from taking holidays off at the same time.
