Scotrail (Ex?) 170 at Neville Hill

I have got the train into and out of Leeds a couple of times over the last 2 weeks and noticed a scotrail liveried 3 car 170 parked outside Neville Hill Depot.

I was then surprised to get on a scotrail 158 at Leeds itself!

Just wondering if anyone had any clue what it is doing there, what its plans are.

If this is discussed elsewhere please point me in the direction.
