Scotrail have suspended all direct services between Aberdeen and Glasgow / Edinburgh, though the local trains are still running, with a 40mph speed restriction north of Carnoustie. This kicked in yesterday and will just till Monday.
Part of me feels it’s a bit over the top, certainly ant the moment the weather is wet and grey but not extreme, and I wonder how much is a reaction to the Carmont accident and perhaps a desire not to use the HST’s during poor weather? This said, LNER has also suspended services.
