Car on the line between Bowling and Kilpatrick - photo on ScotRail's Twitter feed.

Any information on how it got there? There don't seem to be any level crossings on that stretch so it seems unlikely to have been a "took a wrong turning" incident (though TBH I've never really understood how people manage to do that either).

The car came to be on the line as the result of a road traffic accident in an adjacent car park. Luckily the first train to come across it was on the opposite line and narrowly missed it. The car was removed and line was reopened in less than an hour, though disruption continued through the peak due to traincrew being out of place.

Thanks for the info.

The car came to be on the line as the result of a road traffic accident in an adjacent car park.

Some ned trying to do doughnuts in a stolen Corsa? Whatever it was, it looks like they must have exited the car park at some speed to end up where they did.
