This is for people over 55 like me. it is available until 31st March but I want to travel at Easter. Are they likely to extend this so it covers me & I'm just trying to book too early ? Not expecting the offer to be available during the School summer holidays but upto mid April would do me.

If you travel out before the close date you have a month (or perhaps 28 days) to do the return. It runs every year and they always have a gap over the main holiday periods.

From the Scotrail website:

• All outward travel must be completed between 16 January and 31 March 2012.
• Your ticket is valid for return travel up to one month from the date of outward travel.
