Question that has puzzled me as a life long resident of ScotRail class 380 route and a 1 year resident of the Netherlands:
Why on earth is the onboard announcements by the driver or conductor - not the automatic ones - preceded by the tone heard on the NS/Dutch railways, in the stations etc???
I can't think of any reason why this would be the case so I'm very curious as to why this is a thing
Any insight appreciated!
