Can someone please advise me? I have applied for two Scotrail jobs, one as a Ticket Collector and one in the Ticket Office. My status shows that I have been unsuccessful as the ticket collector and that I have been requested to do the online assessment for the other job but have not received the link for the second assessment. Do you only sit it once and the result is used for all applications?

You should recieve an E-Mail with the relevant link in it regarding the online assessment. Read it thoroughly, and Good Luck.

The assessment itsself is done by an outside company.

When did you hear that you'd been requested to take it?

Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
I had 2 applications ongoing at the time and received one assessment on 9 May and completed it that day.
I contacted the HR department and they have stated that I have completed the assessment for both vacancies but I have only completed it once! I was wondering if it is the case that one assessment fits all. The closing dates were 19/4/11 and 10/5/11 respectively.

Thanks

Thanks Motherwell334, I have been given a date to attend an assessment for the role at Paisley. I believe they will sent me information regarding tests etc. Any help regarding these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

As the tag says. Absolutely gutted. However, 6 months and I will try again.

Best of luck to everyone else

No Vandal, no feedback was possible.
Shame, I have a lot to offer, it seems that if you have too much education that can be a drawback too. I will dumb down my C.V. and reapply in 6 months.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Do not lie or dumb down your CV just because of this.

I too have been subjected to the 'no feedback possible' clause, and it really winds me up. I've mentioned in another thread that I have no faith whatsoever in Scotrails recruitment process, and would dearly love an audience with a senior member of personnel so I can tell them this, and why.

Agree with everything you say m8,i have been victim to their Recruitment process as well,as time goes on you hear of more and more people in the same boat, yet they continue getting away with it.
