I have an assessment this week for a Conductor Role for Scotrail and was wondering if anyone has been through the process and could give me any tips/advice.

I recently passed my Conductor Assessment Centre (and interview) with Scotrail and I’m currently in a Talent Pool as all the jobs at the time went internally.

I’m at work just now so don’t have much time to post but I’ll PM you later if that’s ok.

The tests may have changed from when I did mine.

I had a Customer service test. The secret to this is to answer it from the perspective of the customer as opposed to a business perspective.

You’ll probably get either the Dots, or the SCAAT test. This is the test that will trip most people up. This is a measure of both speed and accuracy. If your doing any practice concentrate on accuracy and the speed will come. Don’t try and fly thought it otherwise you will fail.

I also had a public announcement test. This was easy enough. Your given scenarios, just write down a little script then reel it off.
