Could anyone advise me if any Scotrail 156 units have any diagrams to visit Newcastle Central weekdays cheers in advance

Yep they do. During the course of the day three different ScotRail 156s will visit Newcastle.
The following weekday services at Newcastle Central are booked to be worked by a ScotRail 156:
Unit 1:
1N50 06:20 Newcastle - Carlisle (continues to Glasgow Central as 1L50)
Unit 2:
2N16 08:03 Carlisle - Newcastle
2A14 12:21 Newcastle - Morpeth
2N19 12:54 Morpeth - Carlisle
2A26 14:54 Carlisle - Morpeth
2N27 16:54 Morpeth - Carlisle (continues to Glasgow Central as 1L73)
Unit 3:
1E97 16:13 Glasgow Central - Newcastle

That seems a heck of a long time to be sitting on a 156!! Glasgow Central to Newcastle!! Even Carlisle to Newcastle seems a bit of a trek on a 156! Wouldn't it be better to use a bi-mode 800 series? Even a 68 with some coaches would be preferable!

156s have worked these routes for years and without serious problems. I doubt many people would travel the whole route anyway. Can you say where the 800s would come from ?

Nobody travels the full service, so the need to have IC spec rolling stock is reduced. Most people use the route for commuting from the likes of Dumfries to Carlisle, Hexham to Newcastle etc, and most are normally only on for an hour or so. 156s may not be ideal but they do the job.
