Scotland to North Wales, Easter Weekend

Hi,

I've been weighing up options for some family members to travel from Edinburgh to Llandudno over Easter Weekend, 15th - 17th April (out Friday return Sunday). National Rail offer hardly any fare options, and refer to Transport for Wales having a possible change of timetable on 19th March....are fare options likely to appear then?

RTT is showing the line closed from Edinburgh to Carlisle with bus replacement. Also North Wales line closed too.
So probably not many options that weekend.
Being Easter Network Rail are taking the opportunity of major works.

Would not expect any improvement in fares with bus replacement operating. They are trying to provide a minimum replacement option. Not a good choice of place or date over Easter.

How many people are travelling? Ages? (This to check railcard options)

The WCML is open on the Friday, but closed on the Sunday and trains are running to Llandudno from Chester/Manchester both on the Friday and Sunday.
