Yes.
So on mine theres a staff drive a public.
In the public it`s got my folder only.
I thinks thats how mosts schools have it.

Something like that - the way we have it is that drives were mounted for the staff and student shared areas as appropriate, then the user's folder on the server as the My Documents folder. From the server, it is just a folder with a series of subfolders for each user.

Some run Linux, many Windows and some clever ones Mac.

Mine uses Bootcamp locking out the decent partition!

my school uses XP. They have their own firewall, as we have dedicated technicians for our school. They've blocked all forums from there, social sites, downloads. They only have educational sites, but people have been getting onto proxy sites just to go on their myspace.

Dedicated technicians. The main terminals use Xp, but some of the teachers have Vista.

I remember at our school, the teachers had this thing where they could see all of our screens and even take control over them. The teacher could have easily screen shotted the emails.

Probably not legal though, no.

I could always tell at college when they where VNCing into the terminal I was logged onto, because all windows de-selected. So I wrote him a message and looked at him, then changed all the passwords I entered by text message, (I asked my boyfriend to change them for me). Said, "If you're going to watch what I'm doing then you should be a bit less obvious. F***ing Amateur" With the stars being the rest of the word.
