During new train commissioning and testing, I was asked to stop at Whiston (!??!?) and perform the door duties as normal. 50 chavs on the platform.

Fortunately there were big chains across the doorways. Ding ding! :)

Ok it must be very scary in the dark there (poor lighting and rough area) but in the day there's got to be worse stations in daytime!

Such as? I can't say I've come across much worse in the day. It's not necessarily scary in the day - just thoroughly unpleasant. Considering it's intercity services it's a disgrace.

Hattersley is not great but at least there is a part-time staff presence.

Worcester Park - Between Raynes Park & Epsom, Chaville. A guard got stabbed there late one night after taking offence to one of the hoodies dragging the doors apart on a 455:cry:

Sudbury and Harrow road.

Its the devils work. And with all its problems they still want to keep it open for the 50 people who use it PER DAY

From my own experience was the bombings @ KG. Just from the start and not knowing what the hell was going on up until we actually started taking people out from KX stairs to places of safety and everything that went on that day..

Christ we even had to have a dead body on the station concourse because the police called it all a crime scene.

Ive never been so scared yet so focused in all my life..

I think it was either there or Motspur Park that I was on a train crossover bashing on a Sunday morning recently, when two people got on showing - not scary, but does further the point of it being Chaville! NB - showing = sniffing cocaine and leaving specks of it on your nose.

Yes, but at least these stations being mentioned aren't serving as a 'city centre station' with InterCity services! Unless, you need to need to go there for a specific reason (or you are a member staff), you're not likely to venture to these locations!
