Across England to Yorkshire destinations - historic York, seaside Scarborough, North Yorkshire Moors & Railway.

From Hereford we pick up at many Marches and Welsh Border stations before heading north-east across the Pennines to North Yorkshire. Here you can choose from one of the following afternoon options:

Option A - York (11:05 to 17:10)
Inside York’s city walls there is much history to explore, from Roman times onwards. As well as the famous Minster, museums and galleries beckon, including the Jorvik Viking Centre and National Railway Museum (free entry).

There is excellent ‘retail therapy’ in the modern shopping area and around ‘The Shambles’, a narrow cobbled street with fine shops and cafes.

Option B - Scarborough (12:00 to 16:15)
Enjoy an afternoon in this quintessential English seaside resort, with all the usual attractions including boat trips and even a miniature railway. There is a castle, famous Clock Tower, museums and galleries, including the Rotunda, England’s second oldest purpose built museum.

Option C - Heartbeat Country & Yorkshire Moors Coach Tour
From and back to Malton, with local guide, enjoy a journey around the National Park to take in its natural sights and film locations, with a break in Goathland (Heartbeat’s Aidensfield).
Supplementary Fare: £15 Adult / £10 Junior.

Option D - North Yorks Moors Railway Circular Tour
From Scarborough to Whitby by road coach then join the North Yorkshire Moors Railway service through to Pickering, steam hauled, which travels right through the great scenery. Then it’s a coach transfer to Malton to re-join our return excursion.
Supplementary Fare: £25 Adult / £16 Junior.

MOTIVE POWER IS EXPECTED TO BE A DRS CLASS 47 DIESEL LOCOMOTIVE IN EACH DIRECTION.
