Scarborough Delays

Looks to be issued between York and Malton to Scarborough with services delayed up to 10 mins.

Anyone know what the reasons are for this?

On Friday the 2 trains we caught were held for a time closer to York than Malton for several minutes. No announcements but I wondered if there was an issue with one of the many level crossings.

Bootham level crossing has been under manual hand signalling since Friday. Trains cautioned at S1 signal after Scarborough Bridge from York, or the signal protecting Haxby Road LC from Malton. Proceed at caution until hand signal is seen at Bootham LC

Believe it's related to a burst water main. Can't offer more than that, apologies.

Unusual, from experience of using the Scarborough - York line, apart from the phase a year or so ago when TPE were in a mess, I can't actually recall ever suffering a delay on this route!
