Hey guys,

Do you know what is the structure of SCAAT and how long does it take? I know there are 3 sub-tests, which take 1min per sheet - is it just one sheet per sub-tests meaning the whole thing is over in 3min or is it 3sheets per sub-section meaning the whole test would take 9min? Thanks in advance for any replies

I think it's 9 blocks, 2 minutes each.

Block 1-3 is marking one type of shape.
Block 4-6 is mark two shapes.
Block 7-9 is mark one shape and any shapes similar to the first one on each line / row.

I think pages 1,4,7 are biggest and 3, 6, 9 have the smallest shapes, so prepare to begin to squint at the same time your brain catches fire

I think you get a breather after 3 and 6 for a minute or two.

Thanks a lot for a quick reply! blocks 7-9 are quite demanding! I lose quite a lot of speed on them comparing to the first 6 blocks. Need to practice more! ;D

It's not speed they are after it is consistancy and accuracy

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that you're marked on both speed and accuracy so theoretically you could fail the test for going too slow even if you didn't make any mistakes at all.

You are right. My fail at EWS in 1999 was due to going too slow / not doing enough. I did however get 100% correct.

I later repassed it six months later with EWS.
