Saturday plus Bank Holiday Services

Here in south east Wales, Adventure Travel (NAT Group) are today running their (tendered?) Bank Holiday services in towns such as Merthyr Tydfil and Caerphilly. But Stagecoach are running a commercial Saturday service. Thus passengers are enjoying a choice of operator and the most frequent service they've had for some time.

Have there been any similar happenings elsewhere?

Devon council requested their tendered operators to run Saturday services as they felt 4 days without services on routes with no Sundays was too long. It’s resulted in AVMT working a bank holiday for first time in many years as they operate no Sunday services
