Yesterday evening this service was cancelled obviously due to the problems in/around Euston earlier during the day, now on a Saturday this is the last service from Manchester to Euston so how would any passengers for this service have got to their destinations?

In the past I know they've managed to run a replacement bus calling at all stops (Including Euston) but I don't think this happened last night.

One of those where unless you are affected you will never know.

However, it might be observed that the 2025 CrossCountry service got to Stafford in time for a connection into the last Euston train from there, the 1730 from Glasgow, which was running late, after having been delayed at Preston for almost an hour. It also made the last Wolverhampton to Euston train which ran over an hour late.

In normal running, if the 2015 Manchester to Euston is cancelled, it is conceiveable that the 2203 Euston departure from Birmingham New Street can be held for a few minutes the arrival of the 2025 CrossCountry service from Manchester due at 2201.
