Are any heritage railways open tomorrow, Saturday 16 November? I would like to visit one, but they all seem to be shut or doing Steam Santa Lights or whatever. I have an All Line Rover, so pretty much anywhere in the country is OK.

Many thanks

My usual go-to when I need a fringe season heritage fix is the KWVR - it does indeed look to be open tomorrow if that fits the bill.

There is the "Last Hurrah Gala" on at the Great Central Railway. An intensive timetable with passenger trains, DMU and Goods trains. Details on the GCR website.

Yes, as as per my post on another thread, if you're a real ale fan the "Tin Shed" bar will be open at Quorn & Woodhouse station, from 09:30 tomorrow (this is not mentioned on the website's event page).

And the Loughborough Fair is on, a short distance away around the market place if you need extra entertainment after visiting the GCR (Saturday only).

Loughborough and the GCR is the place to be this weekend! :)

Many Thanks for all replies. I went to the Great Central, and an enjoyable time it was too!
